Introducing Contxt Workspace

Collection management, curatorial content and digital publishing in one intuitive, intelligent workspace for museums and corporate collections.

Contxt Workspace: the dashboard with the menu for collection, publishing and the Assistant, and the museum's current exhibitions.

In short

  • Collection management, curatorial content and digital publishing in one intelligent workspace.
  • Contxt takes on the routine work at your direction: it imports catalogues, edits records in bulk, researches across your documents or external sources. Every change is logged and waits for your approval.
  • Open import and export functionality, simple and transparent pricing and integrations to third party apps you already use

Why one workspace

Most work in a museum draws on several sources at once. A loan request needs the condition report from the collection database, the exhibition schedule from a spreadsheet, the catalogue from a folder of PDFs. Putting it together takes an afternoon.

Contxt Workspace is designed around these workflows. It brings the sources into one workspace, so everyone involved works from the same records and sees every change made to them.

With everything in one place, much of the tedious work can be automated: edits across hundreds of records, catalogue imports, research across your texts. The Assistant does it, you approve it, and your team has the time back for curatorial work and research.

The Assistant at work

You ask in plain language, the Assistant does the work, and you approve the result. Three examples:

“Import these artworks into the collection.”

With an exhibition catalogue attached, the Assistant drafts a record for each of its 14 works and notes the catalogue page behind every value. The drafts wait in the Objects register for your review.

“Which artworks in the collection relate to botanical history?”

The Assistant reads 312 curatorial texts and returns six works from four departments, each with the passage that answers the question and where it was published.

“Help us publish the current exhibition in different ways.”

The Assistant drafts a website and a visitor guide from the exhibition's records. Once published, the guide answers visitors' questions from the catalogue and names the page it quotes.

Full Control - Transparent Pricing

User roles give graded read and write permissions. A change log records every action. Changes made automatically can be reverted too. Contxt Workspace is hosted in Switzerland. You can export everything at any time, completely and in open formats. Pricing is based on the number of active users, not on the number of objects or the amount of data.
