What does it actually do?
Contxt lets you build and maintain collection data, automatically connect curatorial records and exhibitions to objects and people, manage operational workflows, and publish selected information to websites, audio guides, conversational apps and other audience channels.

Do we have to replace the system we already use?
No. Contxt works both standalone and also as an additional software to your current stack. Some of our clients maintain their collection in a legacy system while using Contxt exclusively as a publishing tool. Others use Contxt to manage 150 years worth of records. Import and export functionality are at the core of Contxt's design.

Is our data safe and private?
Yes. Every change is recorded and reversible, access is role-based, and data sits on servers in Switzerland (or on your own hardware). You can export everything at any time.

Can we export our data?
Yes — in full, in open standard formats or through our API, directly from your admin panel. No need to ask us.
