At the birth of modern computing, a paradox: only after Alan Turing theorizes an infinitely large computer do we begin to plausibly imagine how our world could be digitally remade as small as possible. Curated by A.E. Benenson, Vanishing Point presents views of a contemporary digital vastness that is both boundless and barely there. The participating artists connect computing to unexpected domains — space, mortality, Abstract Expressionism, and classical drama — while deconstructing aesthetic traditions around infinity. The exhibition's title suggests both convergence toward infinity and potential disappearance: an event horizon where technology might permanently absorb elements like irrationality, expressivity, scarcity, or suffering.
