Daniel Rozin explores mirrors through a conceptual lens using "local refuse." The artist notes that "Mirrors have the ability to let us observe ourselves...in complete contrast to the way we experience our being internally." The Trash Mirror comprises 500 pieces of debris collected February–June 2002 from NYC streets. Using video input, motors, and custom software, the installation reflects viewers dynamically. The work exploits "the ability of computation to make sense of non-linear forms." Additional pieces include three screen-based "Mirrors 2,5,6" installations and "Easel," an interactive painting tool using live video feeds.
