A group exhibition featuring four installations that engage the narrative of everyday objects. The works use physical objects as metaphors for cultural identities while questioning consumption habits. Jean Shin's "Profiles" is a large-scale photographic series featuring altered sports trophies with everyday objects replacing the original equipment—stroller, hammer, clipboard—creating life-size representations of workers including janitors, handymen, assistants, cashiers, mechanics, cooks, and babysitters. Marcela Armas presents "Cenit (Peak/Zenith)," a temporal installation using burnt motor oil. Black viscous liquid is pumped through plastic piping shaped as a city skyline over approximately five days, exploring waste and extraction in contemporary civilization. Michel de Broin's "Bleed" transforms a common household drill into a fountain, with five holes pierced through the drill body as water flows continuously from the "dead" tool on a pedestal, exploring creation, destruction, and ritualistic sacrifice. Daniel Canogar presents "Pneuma 3," a sculpture made from discarded electronic materials—telephone wires found in a dumpster—illuminated to reference technological mortality and human fragility. Curated by Emily Bates and Laura Blereau, with a brochure essay by Sarah Cook.
