Temporary Highs explores how the structure of the internet enables reward-seeking behavior in a compulsive cycle of (over-)sharing and consumption. The group exhibition features works examining pleasure, anxiety, and the pursuit of validation within digital spaces prioritizing immediate gratification. Highlights include Aiala Hernando and Addie Wagenknecht's Still Alives Nos. 1 & 3 (floral arrangements with contemporary props), Jonas Lund's New Now 4 (machine learning-generated artwork), Petra Cortright's marled_clay_cheese (video with virtual dancers), Britta Walsworth's site-specific floral installation (two-week duration), Addie Wagenknecht's inverted wedding cake (Pinterest-sourced, edible), and Signe Pierce's iDentity Bend audio-visual performance. The exhibition was accompanied by temporaryhighs.net, a pseudo-social network designed by HAWRAF INTL with recursive engagement mechanics. Opening reception: Thursday, June 2, 6–9 PM.
