MORE&MORE (the invisible oceans) explores the infrastructure of global trade through the lens of the Harmonized System, the international commodity coding system that classifies every traded good. Zurkow visualizes how everything is reduced to code and the ocean all but disappears, examining the socioeconomic dimensions of international shipping and economic growth. The exhibition features six sculptural animations with custom algorithmic software generating hypnotic patterns of export products from China, India, Japan, Mexico, Turkey, and the USA, alongside physical installations using varied materials including 3D powder, plaster, fungus, and coffee husk. The interactive website moreandmore.world, created with collaborators Surya Mattu and Sarah Rothberg, extends the project into a participatory digital experience. Animation code by Sam Brenner; website by Neil Cline; fabrication by Parallel Development.
