The centerpiece is an 18-minute looped video following a unicorn through abandoned luxury environments rendered in 3D animation, culminating in capture by a cell phone charging station and resurrection in a Starbucks bathroom. The series "Police State Condo" merges surveillance imagery with luxury apartment aesthetics, responding to New York's rapid development. Monaghan's practice spans print, sculpture, and video installation, employing high-end 3D animation technology to create dystopian narratives exploring hyper-capitalist themes.
